My students need 5 sets of ETA hand2mind Plastic Rainbow Fraction Tower Linking Cubes and 5 sets of Multiplication Flash Cards with Key Rings and Multiplication Facts Charts.
I have the privilege of teaching a fabulous group of inquisitive and eager third graders who come from diverse backgrounds. One thing they do have in common is that they all come to school to learn in a safe and inviting environment. Many of my students come from single parent, low income households where English is their second language. To meet the needs of our students, we are a school that provides free breakfast and lunch to all of our students.
As a teacher, I strive to create a classroom that will engage and motivate these at risk learners.
I try my best to provide daily hands on activities to engage my students and promote lifelong learners.
My Project
My students are in need of math manipulatives to reinforce their concrete, representational, and abstract understanding of fractions. I'm kindly requesting fraction linking cubes to give my students experiences with fractions at the concrete level. I am also in need of independent hands on multiplication activities to be used during math workshop. These multiplication flashcard rings will help my students gain mastery of their basic multiplication facts. These rings will make learning their math facts fun for my students!
By donating to my project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement, you will ultimately help to increase my students' academic success.
These materials will be used during our daily math workshop. These manipulatives will help to keep my students engaged and excited while learning fractions and practicing multiplication.
