Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One thing I love about teaching 6th grade math is seeing how much my students grow from the begging of the school year to the end of the school year. Some student come in lacking basic math skills and grow so much that they end up loving math. I have a varsity of items that I will be using in my classroom to give my students engaging experiences by doing friendly basketball competitions, playing connect 4, and having a different activities in which the students can learn math.
I want to provide an environment for my students in which they feel safe and comfortable to learn.
I want to be able to provide them with pencils, and other basic school supplies since most of my student do come from low-income households.
Other things that I have in my list is flexible seating such as a bean bag to help those students that cannot sit on a regular chairs for long periods of times . I also some classroom decorations because middle schoolers love LED lights in a classroom.
