My Project
I am a first year English teacher who is extremely excited about teaching 9th grade students. The books in this project (No Fear Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet) will assist students with learning about dialect and language and how it changes over time. It will reduce frustration and support student engagement. It's a great tool for introducing students to Shakespeare's work. With side by side language comparisons, students will be able to identify and discuss the impact of specific word choices. This will be the students' foundational tool. As they progress into other Shakespearean plays, deciphering the language will get easier.
