My Project

Reading Romeo and Juliet is one of the best parts of freshman year. The students in my class compete each week in trivia challenges to win the ultimate prize: the Shakespeare Champions. The brackets are posted. The questions are ready. Wait! We need prizes!

Finding joy after the pandemic has been a full-time job.

I want my students to learn, but I also want them to laugh and cheer and build community. Our games help students who are mentally and emotionally struggling have a moment to breathe and have fun. These silly prizes, like pens, fidget toys, and even a little chocolate, reward students for opening up to life again. I am so proud of them.
