This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My transitional kindergarten students bring energy and joy to our classroom daily.
They enter the room bouncing and skipping, ready to embrace the day.
They are bright and curious and look forward to each new classroom experience. These young cherubs are thinkers, creators, problem solvers, and collaborators. I want to bring rich experiences and tap into their insatiable appetite and natural curiosity to learn. Providing them access to collaborative and innovative hands-on and heads-on learning in an exciting and motivating way while opening doors to the magic of school experience is essential.
What better way to help build a caring community than by creating an environment of choice, empathy, and respect for one another than through a comfortable and rich learning environment with options.
I want to give them opportunities and tools that will help them as they continue to grow and learn.
My Project
Learning centers in TK are such an important part of a young child's growth and development. It is a great way to begin their learning process in school. It allows students to learn social, problem-solving, and communication skills. In addition, it's their time to use their imaginations!
Students can use their imaginations to create great masterpieces.
I am hoping to add many additions to my students’ creative learning in music and art. Our art and music centers are in need of some new materials. Adding materials such as modeling dough, dough design wheels, dough mats, a people-shaped project kit, colored Sharpies, and rhythm sticks for my students to use their creative imaginations!
