Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all special in their own way! Our cultures and traditions make us unique and special. Our Preschoolers need to learn how to embrace this at an early age, so my project will teach them exactly that: to respect each other and love unconditionally!
I have chosen cultural books, dolls, a world rug, and watercolors to help students explore the regions in which their family comes from.
The rug will help us physically see the world, the watercolors will help them express through art, the books will keep our instruction literacy-rich, and the dolls will aid in their imaginative play! Preschoolers learn through play and exploration.
My goal with this project is to teach our children more about inclusivity and diversity, while making each child feel special in their own way. Children in my classroom will be able to relate to each other better, which in turn builds respect, love, and safety in our schools and community.
