My students are energetic, adventurous, and fun loving four and five year olds. They love to learn through exploring, working with their hands, and observing. This year I want to extend their learning to the outdoors, giving them more opportunities to be in fresh air.
Children need time outside to run and play.
We need a little sunshine throughout the day, but not too much. With the shelterlogic shade sails we will get the opportunities to set up centers outdoor for our students to play and work under. We can set up a stem center, building parts center and an area for them to act out stories and put on plays. Providing shade will give our students the time outdoor to enjoy being in the fresh air.
Right now when we go outdoor for play time they are ready to go back in after 15 minutes because it is hot and not enough shade. Providing the shade sails in our outdoor learning area will give them more time outdoor. I am excited to be able to provide our students, with your help, opportunities to play outdoor in learning centers.
