The Makerspace Club attracts students who are very creative and love to design unique projects. This year, the students (male and female) have expressed interest in learning how to sew. Some who are a little advanced in sewing, have expressed an interest in using a Serger to create items that have a professional finish.
My students would like to design, create, and sew a variety of materials that they can share with the school community.
As the holidays are quickly approaching, some of the students would like to create and make presents for their teachers, friends and students and family members. The serger machine will be a great addition to the Makerspace program. Overall, the materials purchased will support my creative students fulfill a personal goal they have established for themselves.
