My Project

We live in a fast paced world where crafts like sewing have been forgotten, yet, they have been proven to have immense mental health benefits as well as connecting people to their roots. With our students' diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives they bring many ideas into the classroom. Learning to sew can instill self reliance, self expression and sustainability.

Our students are curious, innovative, and eager to learn new skills.

Despite facing challenges, they consistently demonstrate resilience and creativity.

Their enthusiasm for hands-on learning, such as sewing, shows their desire to explore, grow and create something meaningful that they can use to help them be as independent as possible. They will learn to use the sewing machine and needles to mend and sew basic household items.
