Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach students in grades 6th-8th in Special Education as a resource teacher. My students work extremely hard, despite the learning disabilities they have. My students already struggle with gaps in their learning due to their disabilities and Covid-19 impacted those gaps even further. Students continued losing viable instruction and weren't able to learn in the best environment to receive specialized, small group instruction.
Wobble stools will promote a learning environment that supports a variety of learners.
Calculators will be used as a resource for my 7th and 8th graders working on more difficult, grade level concepts. Healthy snacks will be provided for students who don't always eat three meals a day. The remaining resources will be used to guide instruction and support the functionality of our classroom. Any support is greatly appreciated by myself and my students!
