My Project
I am so proud of my AP U.S. History students for their dedication, curiosity, and hard work. They are tackling one of the most challenging courses available to high school students, and many are striving to earn college credit through their AP Exam. What makes my students special is their determination to succeed, even when they face challenges. Many come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, yet they take on this rigorous coursework to open doors for their future.
Last year, my AP World History students raised their passing rate from 33% to 78%, and I hope to achieve the same success with my AP U.S.
History students. However, one of the biggest obstacles they face is outdated study materials. The AP U.S. History exam changed in 2021, and the review books we currently have are no longer aligned with the test format. My students need updated review books that reflect the most current exam structure and content so they can practice with accurate materials. These books will provide them with practice questions, test-taking strategies, and historical content reviews that are essential for their success. With these updated resources, they will feel confident walking into the exam knowing they are fully prepared.
To motivate and celebrate my students’ achievements, I personally buy them custom trophies and medals at the end of the year. These awards recognize their dedication, hard work, and improvement throughout the course, making their success feel even more meaningful. Your support will directly impact their ability to pass the AP exam and earn college credit, setting them up for future academic and career opportunities.
