My students need plastic ball pit balls and safety guard scooters to engage in fun and meaningful learning! Students will use to play Life Size Hungry Hippo Game to review learning concepts.
My students enjoy coming to school each and every day. I want my students to be successful in their learning. I teach third, fourth and fifth graders.
All students come from many different backgrounds.
However, when they come to school all that doesn't matter anymore because our school is a safe, learning environment. We are a Title One school and some students have free or reduced-price lunch. We are also a Be Kind school. We are constantly treating others with respect and kindness.
My Project
These materials will help set the stage to engage students in many different learning activities. It will help motivate students to learn concepts in a fun and creative way. Students will get to play the games they are familiar with and learn at the same time. The materials will help me create an environment that is fun and engaging. For example, they will use the gloves, mask, and guard gown to pretend to be doctors and cutting up root words.
Students will transform into bakers and create geometry pies to review math concepts using the apron, play-doh and bakers hats to play the role.
Students will use the safety guard scooters and pack of 200 ball pit balls to play hungry hungry hippo life size. Then the color balls they catch will be color coded to a word problem or question to answer. Students will become crime scene investigators with the neon glasses and use their reading strategies to solve crimes using the magnifying glass as a tool. Students will learn fractions with a carnival fair, I will use the popcorn boxes for the activity and place questions inside them for the students to answer. The colored paper would be used to print the content and questions for the games. The checkered tablecloth is to create a book tasting lesson where students taste different books by reading a variety of genres. The tablecloth helps create that setting during this lesson. There are so many ways that the materials can help create a fun and engaging lesson in the classroom. I can't wait to set the stage to engage meaningful learning!
