Help me give my students standards-based daily math journals and individual book bags to keep their reading books organized. These learning journals will provide every student with their own workbook to master grade level standards.

My Students
My classroom consists of amazing, diverse third graders of all abilities! Our school consists of 50.2% economically
disadvantaged students.
Many of my students report they do not have access to books at home. These sweet 8 and 9 year old students come from many different backgrounds, both ethnically and socio-economically. My students are mathematicians, book-loving, avid readers, and enthusiastic learners.
My Project
Students in my class would have individual math journals to practice skills and standards that all third graders should know. These journals would be used on a daily basis! In addition, students would have individual book bags in which they would store reading materials they have selected for themselves. It is important for students to feel organized and prepared to learn. The daily journal is standards-based, so it allows students the perfect opportunity to apply what they have learned and master new standards. By having a daily work journal and a personalized book bag, students in my room will feel ready to be successful!
