This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It's that time of year again! The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for students and teachers. As I am preparing for the new year, I'm imagining how my students will feel as they walk into my classroom and how I can best support them as they adjust to a new group of teachers and classmates.

I am requesting supplies that will support student learning not just during the first week of school, but all year long.

I am requesting headphones so that students can hear videos and practice independent learning in class. I am requesting ink and thermal lamination pouches so that I can create vocabulary posters as we learn new words in science. Additionally, students will use the mini whiteboards to test their understanding of science and play community-building games with each other. Finally, I am requesting bouncy bands so that students can sit comfortably at their desks and let out energy when they need to.

These supplies form the foundation of all learning in my classroom. I want to make sure that learning is visible and that students are comfortable in my space as they are learning. Thank you for your support
