This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With hearts full of joy, my TK students come into school ready to learn through play. They love big, play big, and learn big as they go from 4 to 5 in the first few months of school and grow in both mind and body. Transitional Kindergarten is the first of a two-year kindergarten program designed for children who miss the cut-off for Kindergarten by just a small amount. These students may not have had any prior school experience, or they may be preschool pros.

These tiny people will light joy in the world around them!

They aren't quite ready to take on the world, but with love, patience, and support, it won't be long!

My Project

As I head into the new school year and into a brand new grade level, I want to make sure my students have all the things they need for a smoothly run and successful classroom learning environment. From caddies to hold their books to Wiki Sticks to practice their letters and numbers, these supplies will help ensure my students have everything they need for school success.

When my students walk in the door this fall, after a year of being in lockdown, they won't have to worry about school supplies, learning activities, or bare walls.

Instead, they will enter a classroom full of life and fun, and with a teacher who is ready to give her all to them every day.
