Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Times are a-changing, and we need to make sure our students are well-prepared for what is to come. Student are required to use the 4 Cs of the 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

We need furniture in the classroom that is conducive to effective collaboration and communication.

We also need to make sure that our classroom environment is inviting and comforting. For many of my students, my classroom is the ONLY constant in their lives and the only place that feels like home. Having flexible seating and furniture that helps keeps our supplies neat and easily accessible will truly make an impact on the classroom environment and the success of all of my students.

Your support will help transform my classroom into a more organized and homey space that encourages my students to think outside the box. They CAN and they WILL be the change our world needs. Our efforts should encourage them in any way possible.

My Project

Twenty-first century learning requires changes in the classroom. Students need a classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. Gone are the days of rows of desks and and boring lectures. Students are now required to work together and persevere as they problem solve through tasks and challenges.

Flexible seating provides students a choice so they can work in the setting that allows them to work most effectively.

Organization and classroom furniture that provides students easy access to daily resources and materials will ensure students are always ready for any task. We need a bench, a table and an organization cart. Students deserve a classroom setting that will optimize their learning. Setting the stage for engagement really does make a difference.
