Service To Others Is The Rent We Pay For Living On This Earth

My students need French materials to start the Fun with French/ Tutor a Friend Club. Movies, Games..students will earn Service Hours for any time spent tutoring.

My Students

My French 1, 2 students in California are so enthused by learning French.

They ask me to bring music, movies, to cook for them, to converse. We live in a very diverse part of Northern California. It is a pleasure to see them come together during French class and to want to start a French Club. We decided to start Tutoring Teams as well. They will earn community service hours if they support other French students who need reinforcement.

My Project

My students will learn more about the French language through hands on activities and viewing French culture via film. I hope they will learn from each other and support the Service Learning Program at our school by participating in Tutoring Teams and giving input to what may peak an interest to those who struggle in (World Language) classes.

This project will not only further develop the students' knowledge of French language and culture, but also teach them how to reach out to classmates who may need academic support in this important subject matter.

Learning a second language isn't always easy. Students will be offering service to their community via tutoring teams, and at the same time, they will enjoy the learning in an atmosphere of French Club.
