This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, we know exactly where everything will go and who we will be helping. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The Blessing Bags created in the classroom by my students will help those in need. The perishable food items along with basic hygiene items will fill our portable blessing bags. We will all hand write individual letters for each bag. Each individual bag will have items the student picked to include in their Blessing Bag. The students will keep the Blessing Bag with them in their cars to give out or donate to a shelter of their choice.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of leadership and will empower youths to succeed and lead by engaging them in meaningful service acts that makes a positive impact on their communities and the world.

By creating these Blessing Bags, my students will begin to see themselves as true leaders. We will use these materials to aide in the process of becoming life-long philanthropists. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and readings on The Acts of Gratitude. Yet, I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
