My students need high quality and highly engaging math and science recourses to encourage them to be creative and critical thinkers. These include wooden block puzzles, the Montessori Color Resemblance Sorting Task, a Hundreds Number Board and more.

My Students
Teaching 4 and 5 year old children about math and science is a fun and rewarding job. I am always looking for new resources to help keep the kids engaged, learning and growing. This is my mission and purpose.
Our class is a joyful prekindergarten class in a wonderful school in the heart of Texas.
The school serves a very diverse population with students from ethnic backgrounds found all over the world. We are truly a "melting pot" of students and a reflection of the diverse and culturally rich city we live in. The school also qualifies as a Title 1 school and serves many children from a low socioeconomic background
My Project
I would like several different puzzles that can be used in the math and science work stations to encourage creative thinking and problem solving skills. I would also like materials to add to the math work station to encourage the students to really understand counting and numerals. These materials are highly engaging for kids and are of very high quality. These materials also can be adapted for the many different skill levels that can be found in a typical prekindergarten class; they really are materials that can be used successfully by ALL students. Finally, the materials are simple and beautiful. I would love for my students this year to be inspired by these quality materials.
These sturdy and beautiful resources will be well loved and used this year...and by students for years to come.
I believe they will encourage students to think creatively and deeply about basic math and science concepts. Thank you for your time and consideration.
