My Students
I am very excited to meet my new students for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year! I know that they will be just as excited for the first day of school as I am.
I can tell you that the students here love to learn (times 10), and deserve to have quality instruction and a safe place to learn.
I can not wait to discover each personality in my class-this is my favorite part of teaching! Each unique personality comes out when students feel comfortable, safe, and well-prepared. There's nothing like feeling supported and taken care of! And getting solid instruction and communication from their teacher is how it happens!
My Project
Our classroom library needs a facelift! These students LOVE to read. Seasons change, instruction techniques change, children's interests change, but one thing stays the same: a child's curiosity. After interviewing my students, I have carefully selected books and book series that will foster their love to read and explore.
A classroom library is like an escape for young readers, and ours could use some sprucing up!
In a classroom library, students freely choose books that spark their imagination or make them ask a question. Our classroom library could continue to do that with a little help.
These books will also be used in reading lessons. When a book captures a child's attention, he or she can easily learn so much from it. What better way than to use these great books in our reading lessons during the day!
These students are so eager to not only read one or two books, but also a complete book series. They are becoming independent readers with a favorite genre, so adding these different types of books to our library would be amazing. Please consider donating to this project to help continue the desire for them these young readers to pick up a book and dive in!
