My Students

I am fortunate to teach a diverse multilingual group of bright-eyed 22-second graders in an urban school. They are an active and curious group of children who come from various cultural and social economic backgrounds with varying learning needs. They come to school ready to learn and to become independent learners.

I feel blessed and honored to be able to work with this wonderful, caring and eager group of learners.

Every day​ they come to school with a positive attitude to learn.

My Project

In second grade, students will be reading longer books and we need more chapter books in our library to help the students on their continuous reading journey. Adding these new titles will help make our library stronger and more appealing for our growing readers. Finding books in series often help students want to continue their reading journey.

Having a variety of series titles will propel students to want to continue reading!

During our reading workshop time, students will have time to read longer, and we will be able to use the books during our series unit as well. The students will have a variety of series to engage themselves, and the students will be excited to know there are "more" to read!
