My Project
I am making this project to my special education students because many of them benefit from movement and visual input to help with focus, self-regulation, and overall comfort in the classroom. A sensory tent for my special education class to create a calming, safe space where students can regulate their emotions and sensory needs. The sensory chair will provide a safe way for students to move while they learn, helping them stay engaged without feeling restless. The sensory lights will create a soothing atmosphere and reduce stress. Many of my students experience sensory overload, and having a quiet retreat will help them feel more comfortable and focused. These will support their emotional well-being, allowing them to take breaks when needed so they can better engage in learning and social interactions. The plastic drawers to help keep our daily activities organized and easily accessible for my students. My goal is to ensure every student feels comfortable, supported, and ready to learn in a way that works best for them.
