Sequencing Stories: A Visual Approach to Learning Order and Time
Help me give my students engaging, multisensory activities that reinforce time-related vocabulary, sequencing, recall of auditory information, and foundational literacy skills (phonics, vocabulary and reading comprehension). Independent workbook practice will boost student confidence.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project aims to improve students' understanding of time concepts by exploring daily routines, holidays, seasons, picture cards and orally presented stories. Through structured discussions and visual aids, students will deepen their knowledge of days of the week, months of the year, and seasons by responding to WH questions.
Picture sequence cards will help students engage with narratives, identify key details, understand cause and effect, and determine plot structure.
After modeling and guided practice, students will use time-ordered terms in their oral responses. The project also includes listening comprehension activities to strengthen auditory memory and help students retain key story details. Early readers will also participate in reading comprehension tasks through workbook exercises, where they will answer literal WH questions and underline key details.
This comprehensive project addresses various cognitive areas and provides a well-rounded approach to developing essential skills for student literacy and academic success.
