Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a vibrant and inclusive community of learners. We have students who come from a wide variety of backgrounds, many who have sensory processing needs, attention challenges or require support to regulate their emotions throughout the school day.
I believe that every child deserves to be educated in an environment that helps them feel calm, safe and ready to be learn.
I am asking for your help to bring a sensory hallway to our school to promote movement, mindfulness, calmness and regulation.
This project will benefit ALL students, but especially those receiving special education, occupational/physical therapy or behavior supports. Providing students with a sensory outlet, in a shared, inclusive space, will create an environment that values the diverse ways our students learn and continue to strive to be successful.
