My Project
The past couple school years I have witnessed more students coming into the classroom who have experienced different traumas and others who have more sensory needs than classes in previous years. These items will help comfort, calm, and give them a break before returning to classroom activites. STEM activites involving cause & effect, musical rhythm, & tactile sensory items have been shown to help students with these needs. However, I included some items that will be beneficial for the whole class as well, because every second grade students can benefit and enjoy sensory breaks that stimulate the brain as well!
