This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love sensory toys and fidgets. Many of my students have sensory needs and benefit from having these during counseling sessions especially when they are talking about hard feelings and experiencing strong emotions.

My students benefit from sensory and fidget toys and it makes talking about feelings and experiencing difficult feelings easier for my students.

Using the breather ball, my students can practice their coping skill of deep breathing. My students work on their skills and talk about emotions through play therapy, and I use this technique frequently.

These materials will make a huge difference during sessions and helping students fulfill their sensory needs!
