My Project

Social-emotional health is crucial in career and technology schools because it directly impacts students' ability to learn, collaborate, and succeed in their professional environments. These schools prepare students for real-world careers, where interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, and resilience are key to workplace success. A strong foundation in social-emotional health enhances students' ability to handle stress, adapt to changing environments, communicate effectively, and work well in teams. By prioritizing social-emotional health, career, and technology schools can better equip students not only with technical skills but also the emotional intelligence needed to excel in their chosen professions. My students would use tools such as calm strips, sensory twist and turn toys, and a calm ball to calm their emotions and focus on their program of interest. These devices could be used either in small setting or their classrooms during instruction. With your support, we can help our students transition into the workforce with the essential skills needed to be successful.
