My Students

"Fair isn't everyone getting the same thing. Fair is everyone getting what they need in order to be successful." All of my students need individualized instruction in social skills in order for them to be successful in school, at home, and in life.

My dynamic group of students has diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Each student in my classroom is very unique and requires individualized support and resources. However, all of my students require instruction in social skills. Teaching students social skills allow them to learn strategies to manage frustration, make and maintain friendships, manage emotions, and accept help and support from others. My Project

Our students require sensory tools in order to support their learning in the classroom. For safety, due to COVID, we need additional supplies to limit sharing of sensory tools in our 4 special education classrooms for students with autism, emotional disabilities, trauma, and/or mental health diagnosis. The tools will be used to encourage students to safely fidget and meet sensory needs while still learning in the classroom. The project includes a variety of sensory tools, hand fidgets, stress balls, sensory putty, thera-putty, pop-its, and fidget spinners. These supplies will significantly help students who need additional opportunities to move and fidget to learn.
