My Project
My classroom consists of 8 students that have difficulty expressing their needs and wants. Many of them use AAC devices and tools to help them communicate. They require many sensory and movement breaks throughout the day to regulate their emotions and body.
These tools will help them regulate their big emotions and little bodies every day when they are at school.
My classroom offers a variety of tools, but we continue to need more.
My students will have the opportunity to use the fidgets for their sensory needs during instruction. We use the feeling spot videos during our calendar time, so seeing the plush spots will help them make bigger connections. I also plan on using the emotion mirror to help them be able to show and see specific emotions!
