Sensory Tools for Sustained Student Engagement (ADHD, ASD, and Deaf-Blind)
Help me give my students improved calming sensory tools that they can use to improve their social-emotional and academic skills. The Liquid Floor tiles and Bubble Floor Lamps will help kids get back to baseline and sustain engagement.

My Project
We have a growing population of students with attention deficits, autism, and those who are also deaf and blind at our school.
Why are these materials important?
1) These items will help the whole population of our school through sensory engagement strategies or resources. Many of our students do not know how to identify calming tools and return to the general education classroom following dysregulation. Our students have the capacity to learn improved social emotional, behavior regulation skills. They need to return to class calm, focused, and ready to learn.
2) We also have students who can learn to read, but who cannot see or hear well, and who need visual stimulation using high contrast materials, and / or tactile input to promote academic and social engagement.
My goal is to offer more improved sensory tools for student engagement at our school. We have a lot of fidgets at school, and some adaptive equipment, but lack a calming sensory space for kids who are not ready to return to class. We also need more visual and tactile materials for students who need high contrast, sensory and visually stimulating materials. These materials can be shared by all students at our school with adult support.
