My Students

My students are a playful, creative, and thoughtful group of 3-5-year-olds with a variety of learning abilities. Coming from diverse backgrounds, my class includes a mixture of both typically developing students and exceptional students.

Learning through play is imperative for young children, and keeping play exciting, interesting and fun is the best way to achieve this!

My Project

Students of all abilities benefit from sensory materials. From exploring a variety of sensory bin items to using a fidget toy to improve focus, we can never have too many sensory outlets in our classroom.

Sensory and fidget toys are not only calming, they promote fine and gross motor skills as students use them throughout the day.

The exploration of novel materials is a wonderful way for young learners to grow. Students will explore sensory bins during free play. This will assist in social development as they work with and next to their peers to explore the materials and solve problems. Students will use the fidget toys in order to feel comfortable and able to focus during small and large group activities. With these materials, my classroom will be equipped to provide a variety of sensory experiences to students every day.
