This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to explore with their hands. Touching, feeling and manipulating different kinds of materials will help support brain development, memory and problem solving skills.

Sensory play is an excellent resource that allows children to strength their fine motor skills through tactile play.

Students' social skills will also be strengthened when they learn to work together and share the materials as they play together. Language skills has also been proven to strengthen as children learn and play with sensory toys.

There are so many positive benefits when children have the opportunity to explore and build with their hands.
