Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each day my preschoolers have a large portion of their day participating in centers. The sensory table is always one of their favorites centers.
I teach at a low socioeconomic school in Arizona.
Students at our school come from families that often times have English as a second language. These children come from homes that are also struggling financially. Many of our students attend preschool on a scholarship or receive IEP services.
My Project
If we were lucky enough to receive this sensory table, our students would be able to use it during our center time as well as outdoor play. They would explore measurement and the properties of materials. They also would learn how to share materials with their friends.
If this sensory table is donated to our preschool, students would be able to use this table to explore many different areas in science and math.
Lessons would be planned to incorporate many of our early learning standards into the sensory table.
