I have the most amazing and wonderful Kindergartners. My students come from very low income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school. Many of my students come to school in dirty clothes, clothes that don't fit, or what they wore the day before.
My students come to school every day excited to learn reading and math.
My students would like Sensory materials for learning centers.
My Project
Sensory activities facilitate exploration and encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate, and explore. Sensory activities can help children's brains to create stronger connections and support language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interaction.
It is important for children to have a range of sensory activities available to them.
The sensory materials I am asking for will allow my students to become familiar with their letters/sounds, number sense, and shapes. I am also asking for sensory materials I will be able to hide objects in and matching games. The materials will allow the students to use their imagination in free play also.
