Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, donors graciously furnished my room with two beanbags and two rocking chairs, as well as a beautiful rug and pillows.

We have seen how our scholars love to find a cozy spot when they need to calm down, and especially when it’s time to read.

We would love to add a sensory swing to help our scholars self regulate, and also have a cozy place to fall in love with reading! We currently have flexible seating for four scholars, but there are eight students enrolled in our class.

We are so grateful for donors who have helped us create a living room like environment in our classroom. And not only benefits our scholars, but scholars from other classes, love visiting us when they need to calm down and re-center themselves in order to reach their maximum potential.
