My Project

My students are a wonderful group of bright and curious learners. They bring so much energy and enthusiasm to our classroom, but some of them face challenges with sensory processing and maintaining focus throughout the day.

Creating a calm and supportive learning environment is a top priority for me, as I believe all students deserve to feel comfortable and ready to learn.

The weighted plush will be a game-changer for several of my students who experience anxiety or have difficulty self-regulating. The gentle pressure can provide a sense of security and calm, helping them to stay grounded during transitions, independent work, or even circle time.

The Occupational Activity Book offers a fantastic way to engage students in developing essential fine motor skills and visual-motor coordination in a fun and accessible way. These activities are crucial for their independence in tasks like writing, cutting, and manipulating objects, which are foundational for academic success.

Finally, the 3M earmuffs will provide a much-needed tool for students who are sensitive to auditory distractions. By reducing overwhelming sounds, these earmuffs will create a more focused and peaceful learning space, allowing these students to concentrate better on lessons and participate more fully in classroom activities.

These resources aren't just items; they are tools that will empower my students to feel more secure, engaged, and focused, ultimately helping them to reach their full potential. Your support in funding this project will directly impact their ability to learn and thrive in our classroom.
