My Project
I am lucky to work with amazing students in the suburbs of Chicago. My students are curious, thoughtful, and engaged learners. Our school is in a diverse community and I have 130 wonderful seventh graders in my classroom each week. This project supports students in 7th grade Social Studies in a new classroom next year.
Please help us create a quiet classroom with an effective calm corner.
My coteacher and I are moving to a new classroom next school year. We are thrilled that we'll have more space, and we are planning to use this project to create a calm corner, complete with fidgets and tools to help students calm down during the school day. We are also requesting fresh soundproofing for our walls. We have no carpet or curtains to absorb sound, so these acoustic panels are a big help when we're trying to reduce distracting noise.
