Sensory Support for Special Needs Preschool Classrooms

My Project

Many students in our special needs preschool classrooms have unique sensory needs. They crave movement and have difficulty sustaining attention and remaining seated to learn. These classrooms would greatly benefit from movement centers like swings and trampolines to allow the children to get their sensory needs met so that they can maintain attention during learning times. Safe movement activities in the classrooms will also help prevent unsafe behaviors such as elopement from the classroom or climbing on furniture. Thank you for considering supporting our youngest special needs students as they begin their educational journey.
