Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These flexible seating options and sensory items will support my students with disabilities in improving their self-regulation skills! Traditional desks and chairs can be restrictive, making it difficult for some children to focus and stay engaged. Flexible seating options give students the ability to choose where and how they work best. This sense of autonomy not only increases comfort but also promotes better concentration, helping students stay more engaged in their learning throughout the day.
These sensory items will ensure my students have what they need to succeed during the school day.
These items will ensure my kids have the sensory input to self-regulate when they are feeling overwhelmed or anxious during the school day. The vest, weighted lap buddy, and emotion spot stuffed animals will be used to help my kids regulate their emotions and give them soothing support so that they can succeed in the classroom!
