Help me give my students materials that will support their sensory needs as well as helping us shift to a pretend play learning environment, along with a laminator and ink.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Page's classroom raised $998

My Students
In conjunction with the special education teacher at our school, we are seeking to provide more play and learning to the classroom environment by providing educational toys with which the children can engage. It's not uncommon for teachers to take the materials that they have personally purchased with them when they leave for a different school, leaving the classroom shelves with little to support the children that remain at the school. We want to fix that by providing toys that will remain in the special needs classroom for the years to come! As the speech-language pathologist, I'm seeking to bring toys that will be used to increase joint attention, encourage play skills, and assist with both speech/language, occupational therapy, and functional-skills development.
My Project
All supplies will go toward helping support students in achieving their speech and language therapy goals! The objective of these supplies is to better implement a learning-through-play strategy for our special needs kiddos in their classroom environment so that we can see carryover of skills across environments. It's undeniable that covid-19 has had a major impact on the world and for our kiddos with special needs, many of them have needed increased sensory support to help them regulate their emotions. By providing these materials, these students will benefit from said sensory stimuli as well as implementing pretend play/dramatic play opportunities into the classroom environment. In addition, many of the office supplies will go towards making new communication books for students who use augmentative and alternative communication devices. Thank you for your support!
