Sensory Space for Exceptional Learners

My Project

I teach an amazing group of 5th and 6th grade students in a Functional Academic Program (FAP) classroom. Many of my students have sensory needs and benefit from a calm, supportive space to help them regulate emotions and refocus during the school day.

This project will help create a sensory space in our classroom, filled with items like a trampoline, weighted blanket, sensory lights, beanbag chair, and more.

These tools will give students a safe, comforting place to take breaks, move, and recharge when they need it most.
