Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Title 1 school, many of our students face daily challenges that go far beyond the classroom - from economic hardship to emotional stress. These children come to school carrying so much weight on their shoulders, and before they can focus on academics, they need to feel safe, regulated, and supported. That's why I'm asking for your help to bring sensory tools and social-emotional learning materials into our classrooms.
Many of our students experience trauma, anxiety, or sensory processing challenges.
They need more than just paper and pencils - they need tools to help them feel in control of their bodies, understand their emotions, and relate to others in healthy, positive ways. Visuals, fidgets, a yoga ball, floor mats, and social skills games will create an environment that won't just help during a tough moment - they'll teach lifelong skills like patience, empathy, problem-solving skills, and emotional resilience. For children who don't have these supports at home, your donation can truly change their school experience.
