My Students

Imagine walking into kindergarten without any preparation. No interaction with other kids, classrooms or teachers. Scary huh? My classroom helps prepare students so they do not have to be overwhelmed in a new environment. I help give these students form their basic and fundamental skills before jumping into the big world of general education kindergarten.

The students in my classroom vary in skill levels, age, gender, and race.

However, they all share one thing in common. They want to learn!

My Project

Many of my student seek sensory input throughout the day. Sensory input helps ease their anxiety. Imagine just floating around in the air. That is what most of my students feel like without sensory input. Sensory input allows students to fell grounded and regulated.

The sensory bin has various fidgets and sensory toys that all students can use!

These items can be used during whole group and one and one instruction. The light covers well help make the classroom environment clam and relaxing for students who are overwhelmed by too much sensory input. All of these tools will create a safe and welcoming learning environment.
