My students need a trampoline with handle and egg chair for vestibluar stimulation.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lucy's classroom raised $285

My Students
Imagine walking into kindergarten without any preparation. No interaction with other kids, classrooms or teachers. Scary, huh? My classroom helps prepare students so they do not have to be overwhelmed in a new environment. I help these students form their basic and fundamental skills before jumping into the big world of general education kindergarten.
The students in my classroom vary in skill levels, age, gender, and race.
However, they all share one thing in common. They are so excited to learn!
My Project
Many children with autism and developmental disabilities have difficulty regulating their sensory system. These sensory systems within children can either be over- or under-reactive to stimulation. This can cause behaviors such as rocking, spinning, hand-flapping, and trouble attending.
Vestibular stimulation can reduce these behaviors.
A trampoline and egg chair would provide this stimulation. The egg chair rotates promoting that movement. It also has a retractable hood which allows students to feel safe and provide comfort from an overwhelming environment. A trampoline with a handle would allow students to self-regulate safely and effectively. Once students are regulated they will be focused and ready to learn!
