My Project

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to request support for my Adaptive classroom at BCES.

Our classroom is designed to meet the unique needs of students who benefit from a highly structured, multi-sensory environment that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development.

Many of our students have sensory processing differences and benefit greatly from multi-sensory exploration and hands-on learning. Additionally, self-regulation is a key focus in our classroom, where we help students develop appropriate ways to communicate their wants and needs. Having the right materials available allows us to provide a safe, engaging, and responsive environment tailored to each student’s needs.

We are in need of the following supplies to continue supporting our students effectively:

Shark vacuum – for daily cleaning and maintaining a hygienic space for students with sensory sensitivities.

Flex space floor seat – to provide alternative, flexible seating that meets various sensory and postural needs.

Kinetic sand – for sensory play and fine motor skill development.

Clorox disinfecting wipes – to ensure surfaces remain clean and safe for all students.

Expo dry erase markers – essential for interactive, visual learning activities.

Play-Doh – to support fine motor skills and sensory engagement.

Emotions coin drop activity – a visual and interactive tool to support emotional identification and regulation.

Slow rising stress balls – for calming, self-regulation, and tactile input.

Reusable write and wipe pocket set – to allow repeated practice and minimize paper waste.

Any assistance in helping us acquire these items would have a direct and positive impact on our students' daily experiences and growth. Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated by both the students and staff.
