Help me give my students a way to meet their sensory needs by making stress balls and giving them wobble seats while allowing them to continue to learn.
My 2nd grade class consists of 23 students that have still not had the benefit of completing an entire year of schooling. Their Kindergarten year was cut short, and their 1st grade year was full of missed Fridays and constant change. These students still need the same foundation for their educational career as the students in years past.
We are pulling out all the stops to make these kids successful learners, and we need your help.
I taught 1st grade last year, and I will be teaching 2nd grade this year. This may only be my 2nd year teaching, but I am building a classroom full of resources to help my students succeed. Please help me as I continue to build their passion for learning.
My Project
All humans have the need to get sensory input. Children often struggle to find ways to get their sensory needs met while they are in the classroom sitting still at a desk all day. It is especially difficult for younger students.
A simple wobble seat can meet their sensory needs!
They won't even need to get out of their chair.
Some kids use touch to meet their sensory needs, so a stress ball is better way to meet their needs. What better way to get a stress ball than to make our own.
