This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am seeking sensory bins for my awesome little learners. My students seek sensory opportunities throughout the day. This project would fund sensory sand bins. Sand can be used for many different theories of teaching. These bins would bring success to the classroom in a variety of ways. Sand helps in a child's development in the following ways: development of fine motor skills, hand & eye coordination, promotes creativity and imagination, sensory, socialization, language development, and problem-solving. These bins will provide them with the sensory opportunities they need. In addition, these bins offer tools they can utilize to engage with the sensory items and are theme-based such as ice cream.
Sand helps in a child's development in the following ways: development of fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, promotes creativity and imagination, sensory, socialization, language development, and problem-solving.
My students can also use these to work on their language, communication, and vocabulary skills with a staff or a peer. Please help us engage our sensory needs while also improving our other areas.
