My Project
Our Preschool classroom is filled with young children who are eager to explore, learn, and grow—but many of them face challenges with sensory regulation, emotional control, and physical coordination. We are transforming HALF of our classroom into a dedicated Large Sensory Space to support these children in regulating their bodies and emotions so they can thrive in all areas of learning.
This sensory space will be a safe and enriching environment where students can calm down, gain confidence in gross motor skills, express themselves through movement and music, and explore textures and visuals that support their sensory needs.
This space is vital to helping our learners feel safe, centered, and ready to engage.
What We Need:
To bring this vision to life, we are requesting the following:
• Core Sensory Tools: Ball pit with soft balls, large low acrylic mirror for body awareness and self-recognition
• Movement Equipment: Foam climbers, mini trampoline with handle
• Calm Corner Materials: Beanbag lounger
• Music & Movement Station: Rhythm Instruments, Boomwhackers, Rainsticks
Every item has been thoughtfully selected to meet the needs of our diverse learners and help create a classroom where sensory support is seamlessly woven into daily routines.
