My Project

My elementary students are loving individuals with special needs who struggle with controlling their emotions. When they become frustrated and overstimulated, they need a cozy and comfortable place to decompress. My goal is to create a safe, inviting, and calming environment for them to self-regulate. This will help them to reset so that they are ready to return to learning activities and engage with other students.

My students would greatly benefit from a calming sensory experience that is designed to help them calm down, and focus, so they are ready to learn.

Cozy bean bags, soft comfortable flooring, and sensory item to be used by students will help to relieve any anger, anxiety, or frustration within the classroom setting.
