Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If my project is fully funded my goal is to have a space for the students in my school to take breaks and/or calm down. This will allow them to readjust themselves and continue with their day.

The resources would be located in a separate room for others to use for their students as well.

Most of my students that are serviced in speech therapy have autism, and require sensory output to relax and calm them down when getting over stimulated.

My school is considered a Title 1 school, which is a low income area. This project will have a big impact to the students learning and growing emotionally. We are requesting sensory lights, a sensory sequin wall, and sensory mats.
